Our time star gazing on October 3 was amazing.
We’re doing it again in December.
Staff from Geneva Lake Astrophysics and Steam (GLAS) presented an evening watching the stars. Their knowledge of what we were seeing was almost as colossal as the sky. Visions of galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters were seen with the aid of GLAS Education portable telescopes. It was awesome.
We are planning another night in December. The weather likely won’t be as wonderful as this week, but the winter sky holds views not visible at other times. Bundle up and join us.

GLAS began in 2019 to continue the Yerkes Education Outreach programs. Today it is an independent nonprofit organization providing public outreach and career development opportunities through high school and college internships. They rely on donations to continue their work. Check their website www.glaseducation.org for more information on their activities and programs.
